Culture, denied. Culture, reclaimed. The Cozy Mystery of Life.

My latest manuscript is called The Cozy Mystery of Life. I wrote it for several reasons. Foremost, it's my attempt to reclaim my Maltese culture, which was denigrated and obscured for me for decades. Here's the elevator pitch:

"Janet's life is tiny by design. She loves music and art, dancing and drinking, and cats, even though they’re assholes. She loves knowing that life is going right out there; for some people, anyway. When she suddenly drops dead on her kitchen floor, she must spend the last precious moments of her earthly existence in the company of Archie, a divine architect who may or may not also be a porcupine. Archie promises her an afterlife of her wildest dreams; the perfect afterlife. She just has to examine the last forty-eight years of her life to figure out what that means. You know, no biggie."

I'm in the editing process now, and hopefully the manuscript will be polished in due time to begin its journey.
